This course introduces students to the fundamental principles of electrical circuits and their applications. The course will cover the basics of circuit analysis techniques, including Kirchhoff's laws, Ohm's law, nodal and mesh analysis, and Thevenin’s and Norton’s equivalent circuits. It will also introduce students to AC circuit analysis, including phasor, impedance, and RLC circuits.

This subject is classified under the Core Technology group and intended to teach the students about concepts and principles of operation of various electronics devices (Hardware) related to their use and working in electronic systems and applications. The Knowledge and skills of Basic Electronics will help the students in Digital Electronics, Data Communications, Embedded Systems, IoT and Robotics.
